Bills vs Steelers injury updates: Tremaine Edmunds, Jordan Boyer not practicing Wednesday

buffalo bills Head coach Sean McDermott met with the media ahead of Wednesday’s training as his team prepares to host Pittsburgh Steelers Sunday. As the story was during the first four weeks of the season, McDermott made a long injury list.

McDermott said Jake Comero, Jordan Boyer, Dawson Knox and Tremaine Edmonds will not train on Wednesday. They join Christian Benford, who had surgery last week to fracture his hand, and Jamison Crowder, who fractured his ankle in Sunday’s win over Baltimore Ravens But they have not yet been transferred to the IR, where players are not participating due to injury.

The much-anticipated update about Tre’Davious White – who was eligible to return to the team this week after starting the season on the PUP roster while working through a torn ACL rehab program he endured late last season – wasn’t what fans were waiting to hear. McDermott simply added White’s name at the end of the list of players who did not train on Wednesday.

When asked about Edmunds, who scored nine full tackles in Baltimore on Sunday, McDermott said the Bells defensive captain was Dealing with a hamstring injury.

McDermott confirmed Isaiah McKenzie, who left Sunday’s game after being hit in the head midway through, is in a concussion and will be limited to Wednesday’s training.

Gabe Davis, who has been dealing with an ankle injury since week two, was not one of the players mentioned by McDermott, although he said he felt the injury slowed the third overall receiver a bit.

“It happens sometimes when you’re going forward, and I appreciate how he’s going forward. He’s very strong mentally,” McDermott said of Davis. “I think his best football is in front of him.”

With McKenzie, Comero and Crowder not practicing – and knowing the latter won’t be available on Sunday – Buffalo may have to look to the coaching staff to fill out their match-day roster.

Prior to Wednesday, Buffalo had three recipients on the coaching squad: Tavonne Austin, Isaiah Hudgens, and Tanner Gentry. However, it was also reported on Wednesday that the team and Austin had parted.

Regarding the spacious reception room, McDermott also mentioned that Marquis Stephenson, who underwent foot surgery in mid-August due to an injury acquired during camp, Not close to returning.

Defensive interventions were also limited to Ed Oliver and Jordan Phillips on Wednesday. Oliver has been out of action since the first week of the season when he sustained an ankle injury in Bills’ victory over the referee Energy a hero Los Angeles Rams. Phillips was nursing a hamstring injury he suffered in a disconnected play during the Buffalo 41-7 run over the Tennessee Titans in Week 2.

Newly acquired offensive lineman Justin Murray is set to be limited to a foot injury he’s been dealing with since joining the squad on September 27.

As the Bills hatch a game plan to stop the Steelers, discovering 53 men who will be in uniform looks like it’s going to be a lengthy task once again.
